*PREN (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number):
PREN is a measure of the corrosion resistance of a stainless steel.
In general, the higher the PREN value, the more corrosion-resistant the steel.
Steels with PREN values above 32 are considered to be seawater resistant.
The PREN value is calculated according to the following formula:
PREN = %Cr + 3.3 x %Mo + 16 x %N
